Record participation at EFFOP Biennial Conference in Estonia!

We look forward to seeing so many of you at the next EFFOP Conference, “Sustainable food systems: blue solutions”, which will be held at LaSpa Resort, Estonia, from 5 to 7 June 2024.

We have just closed the registrations, and no fewer than 160 people are expected to attend!

EFFOP members will gather to discuss for 3 days the role of our industry in the sustainability of European food systems.

We will be exploring the technical and regulatory issues that factories have to deal with on a daily basis, as well as themes that affect all feed and food players: how can we offer markets healthy and safe products with a low carbon footprint? Which tools and innovations can help us make even greater use of valuable marine resources? Because our industry depends on limited resources from the sea, we will also address the sustainable management of fish stocks.
These are the issues that will be covered at the conference, thanks to the contributions and relevant insights from our speakers.

We would like to thank our Estonian member, Eesti Kalatootjate Keskühistu for the great collaboration to organize this event. The attendees will have the opportunity to visit the fishmeal and fish oil factory on the first day, and explore the beautiful surroundings of the Pakri Peninsula.

Once again, we will share some convivial moments during a dinner at the historical venue of Padise Kastell and at our traditional gala dinner in the renowned restaurant Wicca at LaSpa hotel.

We are delighted to have the financial support of the Fisheries Information Center (FIC) for the organization of the morning of the 5th and the 6th of June, and to welcome representatives from the Estonian Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, University of Tartu, and FIC.

About the practicalities, we would like to remind participants that:

• Hotel rooms have been booked at LaSpa Resort from the 4th to the 7th of June, and rooms must be paid by each guest on departure.
• Bus from Tallin airport will leave at 16:30, 20:00 and 23:00 on Tuesday 4.
• Bus from LaSpa Resort will leave to the airport at 13:00 and 13:30 on Friday 7.

Please note that the registration for the conference is now closed. If cancelled, a fee of €450 will be charged.
