EFFOP’s CEO: New Member of the NAPA Board

EFFOP is pleased to announce that our CEO, Anne Mette Bæk, has joined the Board of the North Atlantic Pelagic Advocacy Group, NAPA. NAPA brings together retailers, food service companies, and supply chain businesses that are committed to sustainable seafood sourcing and the long term sustainability of pelagic fisheries.

EFFOP has a strong commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable fisheries management. Our sector places high priority on healthy fish stocks and sound management based on the best available scientific advice, which is essential for both the marine ecosystem and the long term viability of the industry.

In this context, EFFOP encourages coastal states to strengthen cooperation and work towards effective, science based management agreements for North East Atlantic fisheries. A robust sharing agreement is key to securing a sustainable future for these fisheries.

We look forward to contributing to the work of the Board and to supporting a positive development of the blue value chain and the blue economy.
