EFFOP – Marine Nutrients Europe is a trade association dedicated to representing and advancing the interests of the European producers of fishmeal and fish oil.

The marine ingredients production is a key segment of the fish processing industry and the blue economy. EFFOP brings together national industry associations and companies from 14 European countries, committed to ensuring that raw materials are processed fresh, resulting in traceable products that meet the highest quality and safety standards for the aquaculture, livestock and petfood markets.

EFFOP is registered in the Danish Central Business Register (CVR) under number 37555738, and in the EU Transparency Register under number 783980638121-41.

Mission & Purpose

• Advocacy and Promotion: Advancing the cause of the European fishmeal and fish oil industry within the EU, advocating for its interests, and promoting its value.
• Engagement with EU Institutions: Maintaining proactive engagement with key EU bodies such as the Commission, Council, and Parliament to ensure the sector’s concerns are heard and addressed.
• Informing Decision Makers: Providing accurate information to policymakers to facilitate evidence-based decision-making
• Coordination and Collaboration: Organizing and coordinating industry activities to promote collaboration and synergy among European fishmeal and fish oil producers.
• Legislative Support: Disseminating pertinent national and international legislation to our members, ensuring compliance and fostering a regulatory environment conducive to industry growth.
• Partnerships: Collaborating with relevant associations and organizations to further mutual objectives and enhance the collective impact within the industry.
