EFFOP submitted feedback on 22 July 2026 to the European Commission’s consultation on the European Ocean Research and Innovation Strategy.
We call for greater recognition of blue foods and marine ingredients as strategic components of sustainable food systems, support for technology-neutral and science-based research priorities, innovation funding across all sustainable marine sectors, and funding decisions based on measurable environmental, nutritional and socioeconomic outcomes.
